National Handicapped and Finance Development Corporation (NHFDC) provides loans for PWDs. on concessional terms through State Channelizing Agencies for undertaking self-employment ventures.

At village level, Panchayati Raj Institutions have been entrusted with the welfare of Persons with Disabilities.

 Legal Guardian of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation & Multiple Disability
 
Even after they reach the age of 18 above mentioned people are not seen as being adequately to manage /take decisions so, provision of declaring / nominating legal guardian came in existence in the shape of National Trust act. It enables the persons with above disabilities to have a guardian representing her/him throughout their lives.

Parents can get legal guardianship or their son/daughter having above mention disabilities or can nominate other person as legal guardian.

Two kinds of guardianship:

1. Guardian for the persons.
2. Guardian for the person’s property.
